ANGELES CITY – After Mayor Edgardo D. Pamintuan had his State of The City Address (SOCA), Vice Mayor Vicky Vega Cabigting also gave her report to village officials with her “Ulat sa Paglilingkod” on Monday at the Grand Palazzo Royale, Barangay Cutcut, this city.

Vega-Cabigting stated her several accomplishments as Angeles City’s Vice Mayor and as Presiding Officer of the City Council that includes programs on health, education, environment, women and barangay empowerment.

“All of my programs complement the projects of Mayor Pamintuan and his Contract with the Angeleños, and we take pride in the fact that both of us are closely working together for the development of the city” the vice mayor said during her speech.

She said that the City Council’s good working relationship with the local chief executive has allowed them to pass several important ordinances that will surely benefit the city.

Vega Cabigting also mentioned other projects that are currently in the works and being in initiated and implemented by her office. These include: the Sulong Kalusugan Caravan (Mobile Clinic), the conduct of fora with the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC), Kalinga sa Bagong Bayani Symposium (OFW Assembly), ZUMBAskwela, continuous holding of the Buntis Assembly, the Kabuhayan Patrol and Linis Brigada.

The vice mayor added that she will also deliver her report to other sectors of society before the year ends.

After her speech, Vega-Cabigting distributed copies of the Local Government Code of 1991 to village officials to supplement their knowledge on governance and guide them in the passage of local laws, resolutions and ordinances, along with their proper implementation.

She also provided each of barangays with stethoscopes and sphygmomanometer which are to be used for the community members to determine whether they need to seek immediate medical attention.
